So like 3 days ago I kinda fucked up the server by playing with a command I found in amx_help. I was actually looking for something else and found amx_restmenu if I remember correctly think that was the name. There was another command that did the same thing. Anyway, I typed it in and it brought up this weapon restriction menu. I thought it was jus a player-specific command, so I waited until the last round to try it out.
Turns out it was actually a global admin-only command that the server owner forgot to restrict down. So I ended up un-restricting a few weapons and equipment like smoke / nightvision, and then the server went to shit for only 3 rounds. I quickly reverted everything back. Admin "neT." then restarted the whole server and everything was as it should be. I was gonna report it later, but it was too late as the server got shutdown twice, first shutdown I typed amx_help and the command was gone, the second shutdown I couldn't join the server giving me "You have no entry to server".
Just to be clear, I didn’t hack anything. That command was available to anyone who typed amx_help in the console. And someone else knew about this command like 15 to 20 days before me, because we couldn’t buy some pistols back then except for the Deagle and the USP/Glock. I remember oneday where we could buy Machine Gun and later that night it was restricted again. I didn’t touch the pistols when I tested it. I only played with some weapons and equipment ( smoke, shield) . As I said thought it only affected me, not the whole server.
I have past admin experience / owned a server back in the day, I don't think I'm banned but I'm denied access to server, probably cause the owner thinks I hacked the server or something. Sorry if this all sounds a bit all over the place, just trying to explain it clearly. The owner’s mistake was forgetting to restrict that command, and mine was assuming it was just a personal command.
